Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to sign in with Snapchat?

No. FreeMyMemories works with your Snapchat data export. It does not ask for your Snapchat username, password, OAuth approval, or credentials.

What does FreeMyMemories import?

FreeMyMemories imports Memories and related metadata from Snapchat exports you provide, including media files and available capture details where the export includes them. The exact result depends on what Snapchat included in your export and which import path you choose.

Why is my Snapchat export a ZIP file?

Snapchat commonly packages data exports as ZIP files because an export can include many files, folders, indexes, and metadata. Keep the ZIP intact until FreeMyMemories asks you to select it or a file from it.

Can FreeMyMemories see my Memories?

FreeMyMemories processes the Memories you choose to import in the iPhone app. FreeMyMemories does not operate a cloud backend that receives your Memories. Support can only see files or details you intentionally send in a support email.

Can I keep Memories inside the app instead of Photos?

Yes. FreeMyMemories is built as a private local memory library, so you can keep imported Memories inside the app and browse them there. Exporting to Photos is optional.

How do I export to Photos?

In the app, choose the Memories you want to export, select the Photos destination offered by the app, and confirm the export. iOS may ask you to grant Photos permission before the export can complete.

How do I contact support?

Email [email protected]. Include the app version if you can find it, your iPhone model, iOS version, and the exact step that failed or confused you.
