About

Built because memories deserve better than a ZIP file.

FreeMyMemories began with the same problem its users face: years of Snapchat Memories, a confusing export path, and no existing option that turned those memories into something private, permanent, and worth revisiting.

The goal is not simply to rescue files once. The goal is to give people a lifetime memory library they can keep adding to, browse beautifully, relive through On This Day, explore on a map, organize into trips and life eras, and export on their terms.

FreeMyMemories is independent. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Snap Inc. or Snapchat.

Product philosophy

Preserve, relive, own, export.

Those four verbs keep the app honest. The export is the source, not the destination.

Preserve Turn a Snapchat data export into a private iPhone library that can keep growing with future imports.
Relive Return through On This Day, map exploration, trips, eras, and insights instead of raw folders.
Own Keep Memories in a private local app vault without a FreeMyMemories account or Snapchat credentials.
Export Choose when selected memories move to Photos, Files, or share destinations where supported.
